About Wanalta Health

Wanalta Health is located at 52 Mount Pleasant Road in Belmont. Situated opposite the Belmont-Highton Baptist Church, and within walking distance to Belmont Shopping Centre.

Ample on-street parking is available, and off-street parking a short walk away next to the South Barwon Community Centre. If you are travelling via public transport, the Belmont Primary School/Mt Pleasant Rd bus stop is out the front of Wanalta Health - Route 42 (Stop 3 - Geelong to Deakin via South Valley Road).

Inside, the welcoming and calming atmosphere of the waiting room is available for you to relax as you wait for your appointment. Toilet facilities are available.

The history of Wanalta

Wanalta Health takes its name from the house itself, built in 1892 and designed by local architects Laird and Barlow.

The house has retained many of the original features of the Late Victorian style of architecture - including cast-iron fretwork and ornate posts on the verandah, sidelights on the double-hung windows and four-panel front door, window lead-lighting, original fireplaces, polished floors, and ornate ceiling roses on double-height ceilings - providing a charming and warm environment to ensure you feel comfortable in your time at Wanalta Health.
